Excel report automation and migration to Power BI

If your team spends days every month copy-pasting and rebuilding the same Excel reports, I automate the work so the report is ready with one click or on a schedule.

Best for: Companies whose reports live in Excel and take a lot of time from the finance, sales or planning team.

Signs it is time to automate

  • The monthly report takes several working days.
  • Only one person knows how the file works.
  • Two reports disagree and nobody knows which one is right.
  • The Excel file has grown so large it is slow or unstable.

Two routes: smarter Excel or Power BI

Excel does not always have to go. Sometimes Power Query and a proper data model are enough to automate the same Excel report. If several people need the report or the data is large, moving to Power BI is better. We choose the right route together in the first call.

The result

Time once spent building reports goes into analysis and decisions, and because each calculation is defined once and correctly, copy-paste errors disappear.

What you receive

  • A review of current reports and a list of manual steps
  • Automated data loading and cleaning with Power Query
  • A new report or dashboard in Excel or Power BI
  • Reconciliation of the new report with the old one
  • A refresh guide for your team

Frequently asked questions

Do we have to give up Excel?

Not necessarily. If Excel meets your needs, we automate it; Power BI is suggested only when it brings a real advantage.

Does our team need to learn programming?

No. Refresh is usually one click or automatic, and we practise it with your team in the training session.

What is Power Query?

A tool inside Excel and Power BI that records the steps of loading and cleaning data, so each month they run again with one click instead of by hand.

Will we lose our existing reports?

No. The new report is built alongside the old one and reconciled with it; it replaces the old one only once you are confident.
